AP020 Adapter Circular Adhesive Console

When I bought this Astro3E external battery, I was looking basically for two things:

1. High capacity, and
2. A way to quickly charge my Kindle Fire HD 8.9".

I think I found both things in this Astro3E.

The Astro3E has a battery level indicator, in the form of four lights on the front. You press the middle button, and the number of lights that light up correspond to the charge level. You charge the battery by using a micro-USB to USB cable, and plug the USB cable into a USB-AC adapter (or into a charging port on your computer, but this is a much slower way of charging generally speaking). The lights on the Astro3E blink when the battery is charging, to indicate the charge status, and the lights go out completely when the battery is full.

To charge devices with the battery, plug the device into one of the USB ports on the bottom of the battery, then press the middle button to begin charging. The two ports are labeled "Apple" and "Android" respectively. I don't have any Apple devices, so I haven't actually been able to find any difference between the two ports.

Anker sells two different external batteries with the same capacity, 10,000mAh: the Anker Astro3 and the Anker Astro3E. Here are the main differences, according to Anker customer support on Amazon:

"1, Astro3 can only be charged via AC adapter, while Astro3E can be charged via USB port of Laptop/PC/wall charger.
2, The maximum current of Astro3 is 2A,while Astro3E is 3A.
3, Astro3 has a DC output(9V~12V) which can charge some cameras,while Astro3E only have USB output(5V)."

So, in my words:

1. The Astro3 can only be charged with the AC adapter they provide you. The plug is proprietary. The Astro3E can be charged with any micro-USB to USB cable and USB-AC adapter, but be sure that your AC adapter has an output current of 1A or higher (check the adapter to make sure).
2. The Astro3 can charge devices that require a 2A current, while the Astro3E can charge faster at 3A. If your device doesn't need that much current though, then the two batteries will probably behave the same way.
3. Astro3 has a DC output, while the 3E doesn't. This may or may not be relevant to you.
4. Astro3 comes with more adapters so that more devices can be plugged into it, while the 3E comes with just 4 adapters, for micro-USB, mini-USB, and two others I don't recognize.

So if you're trying to decide between these two battery packs, hopefully these differences will help you.

I used this as a mount for an Ipad holder and it works perfectly. I will probably have a hell of a time removing it later but at least it doesn't fall off from the weight of the Ipad and it's holder.

If you need a mounting place other than your windshield, than this is the ticket! Large enough for all suction mount devices
and the adheasive is strong enough to withstand temp changes. just clean the place you want to mount it to remove any impurities and oily material (Armorall). Good device! If you need something like this, Get it!

Larger size mounting pad for suction cup type devices. I used mine to secure a suction cup camera mount to my vehicle's dashboard.

The mounting tape on the bottom of the pad is adequate to hold smaller camcorders and digital cameras. Just make sure the surface you are adhering the pad to is perfectly clean (use an alcohol wipe).

So far, the 3M adhesive is holding up (2 weeks). I'll review the product again if the mounting tape fails before the summer's out.

It replaces a previous one that was smaller, for a different mounting bracket, and it works like a charm.

Good base for any dash mount item. It is larger than our original Garmin plate as described. Great to mount in second vehicle. Good price. Attaches quickly and securely.

This disc is a replacement for the original that shipped with the Arkon dashboard mount (for my radar detector.)

I had originally ordered my mount with an included disc. Because the detector was to be used in two cars ordered an extra disc (AP020) from Arkon. The second disc was of slightly different form (no lip at the edge) and material.

The original failed after 4 months due to warping in the strong California sun. The AP020 disc did not warp. I ordered a replacement AP020 from Arkon and it has performed very well.

It does as advertised. If you are looking for one to use with a Gamin Nuvi buy the 70mm. This is way too big...

There's not much to say about this item. It sticks on your dash using 3M adhesive. If you want to take it off, they offer some instructions. But once you place it, you won't want to take it off. It just works.

I used this to mount my iPhone holder/bracket to top of the dashboard in my 2008 F150. Works perfectly as described.
