Sunglasses Review APGN VSM Vehicle Specific Adapter Connects

APGN VSM Vehicle Specific Adapter Connects

I started running this year and was using a free app on my iPhone to track my times, distances, and pace. I eventually got sick of carrying my phone with me every run and decided to get a dedicated watch. I was looking for something light that would allow me to track simple running metrics, and had no interest in heart rate or other factors. I happened to walk in to our local Garmin store in Chicago the very day the Forerunner 10 went on sale, and ended up buying one that day. I've now been using it for about 6 weeks and have been very happy. It usually finds a GPS signal in about 30 seconds. Uploading my data to GarminConnect is simple, taking only about 15 seconds. The day-to-day reproduciblity of the data is very high. I start and stop at the same spot every day, and the watch always records the same distance at that spot. The reports on GarminConnect are useful to me (maps out your route, shows graphs of your pace and elevation at every point in your run, lets you compare multiple runs, etc). Overall the Forerunner 10 provided everything I was expecting.

Worked perfectly for installing a GPS in my previous Jeep. Once mounted the GPS was very steady. Have to add five more words...

This mount does its job for providing a full range of motion for a multitude of phone, gps and tablet devices. Mine is used with a Kuda Mount and iPhone.

I already have a ProClip mount in my car for attaching various AMPS devices to. This item attached to it perfectly and now allows my to use all of my 17mm ball type devices like my Garmin, my cell phone car dock, and my mini OBD-II computer as well. The item is very solid and functions perfectly.

It is a sturdy little unit, does just what it is supposed to do. Very pleased with the unit. keeps my phone right where I want it.

I took a chance to see if this would work with my new Motorola Atrix Car Dock and to my delight, it is a perfect fit. I can now use this to attach it to a proclip mount already in my car. An elegant and relatively inexpensive solution all around. Very pleased!

After repeated problems with the Nuvi suction mounts I tried this item. the ball fits into the socket mount on my Nuvi 350 and the mount plate matches up to standard cell phone mount plates. The ball stud easily slides off of its own mount plate but I just pop the Nuvi off of its mount.

This item fits the two Garmins that I needed to custom install in my vehicles. It give options to bolt to brackets, and fits the standard Garmin brackets.

It's so simple. Using my Garmin Nuvi mount with this socket allows me to just slide it off the dashboard and mount it in any other vehicle with the suction cup mount I have. And it was compatible with my dashboard hinge, so no need to install any cumbersome wall plates. Also mounted one in the wife's car right to the console with two small screws. Beautiful, easy, and makes like so easy. Recommended.

I paired this with a Panavise car mount and a Arkon "Slim-Grip Holder for Smartphone"Arkon Slim-Grip Holder for Smartphone - Bulk Packaging - Black. This screwed perfectly into the Panivise mount (with the included nuts and bolts) and the 17mm ball/socket connection on the Slim-Grip fit perfectly on this APGN-VSM. The ball joint is mounted on their Arkon AP032-VSM pieceARKON AP032-VSM Vehicle Specific Mount Adapter Plate Dual T Tab Horizontal (Cconverts AMPS to Male Dual T Tab).

I find myself removing the 17mm ball piece hooking the Slim-Grip straight into the AP032-VSM for a more flush look. The ball joint is nice for any time I'd like the use the phone in landscape mode.

The overall construction of the piece is solid and I do not have any reservations about it breaking. This is much cheaper than the $35 ProClip piece.
