vacuum cleaner NAVGEAR 14021 Universal Dash Mount

After driving with the GPS either on my lap or tilting on the console, I ordered the Navgear ME201133 Universal Dash Mount. So the price has come down a few cents a day, but I don't care because this is a life saver!!! The rubberized base is thinner than I'd expected, the triad allows for flexibility in the placement and the weight is substantial. The hard round base is thicker than I'd expected, also solid on the underside for added stability. In my Honda Accord, I first placed it dead center on the dash where the original GPS had been mounted on the windshield, but I quickly realized that it could be placed perfectly along the left edge of the windshield on the dash and absolutely nothing is obstructed. It is so much easier as I drive for my eyes to drift a little to the the left to see the screen now and the text to speech is perfectly audible. Driving in the rain last night, I had to make a very sudden stop which caused every item on the front seat to go flying, but this dash mount, GPS attached, stayed put, not budging an inch. It is easy to remove for secure storage when not in use and is not so large or heavy that it couldn't accompany the traveler in a plane, boat, helicopter, submarine or train as well.
I strongly recommend this mount and feel that it will save me from unnecessary stress. A natural byproduct is that others on the road will be safer, too, when I'm behind the wheel.

Just the thing to mount my TomTom GPS device. Suction cup
sticks firmly to center and weighted wings hold firmly to
dashboard, eliminating window mounted obstruction.
Love it and works great! I was uneasy ordering this product due to it's being much better priced comparing to brand-name mount. I'm glad I've made the choice. Saved $20+ compared to "G" brand.
I bought a TomTom GPS over a year ago and used the stupid system it comes with to attach the thing to your windshield. Horrible situation as the thing would get hot and lose it suction and then the tomtom fell to the floor...ugh. I remembered a friend of mine who had a Garmin and a bean bag type of stand to sit on the dashboard so I found one for my tomtom and I simply LOVE IT! Now, if I can just find out how to get that adhesive piece of plastic that the suction cup had to attach to off of my windshield I will be truly at peace with my TomTom. lol
It works well for me with nuvi 680, which is a heavy bulky gps. If you can get this for under $10, there is no need to buy those similar ones out there for over $20. All those things have similar design and work the same way.

This is a great item. It fits both the Accord and Suburban without any trouble. Had to hang it down on the dashboard because the sun was bright and it never fell. Heavy enough to use anywhere. I definitely would buy it again.
It gets the job done. I have a TomTom Go720 with a 4.3" screen... It works like a charm... In both auto's
The portable Navgear ME201133 Universal Dash Mount is as advertised. It is doing an excellent job of keeping my GPS from toppling off of my dash board, even during sudden stops. I highly recommend this innovative product to anyone who uses GPS or satellite radio because with this product, it is no longer necessary to use the windshield to advertise there are electronic accessories in the car when it is parked. With the portable dash mount, the accessory can be easily hidden from view and used from car to car.
The price was considerably less than the 'box stores' are supposedly discounting the same type of portable dash mount, which makes it a good value. Shipping was included.
